Kecak Dance

Kecak Dance is a typical Balinese art performance that combines drama and dance. This dance depicts the story of the kidnapping of Dewi Sinta by Ravana, then Rama tries to free his wife in various ways. The dancers, numbering around 70 people, will sit in a circle while chanting ‘cak cak cak‘. The position of the circle depicts the monkey army of Lord Hanuman who helped Rama when he fought Ravana to free Dewi Sinta. This dance actually has meaning related to Hinduism. This meaning is that sincere love will win with prayer and sincerity.
